Tonight was the "final" meeting before we leave for Italy. I put final in quotes because we are planning on meeting again before then. However, the Artis people who are running the trip scheduled this as our last meeting. Anyway, I received my tickets (both directions) and more instructions for the trip. (i.e. make 8000 copies of your passport and keep some with you, mail some to Artis, give several to a close relative, then pass some to random people in case something happens over there.)
I also received my assignment for the trip. "Take pictures of all the marketing and graphic designey (her word, not mine) stuff and turn it in at the end of the trip." I am of course going to take as many pix as I can, partially to post, partially for my self (i.e. souvenirs), and partially for the book I am going to put together to sell. *cough*hint hint*cough* Also, I hope she will accept digital format or they have a (free) printer I can use unlimited.

New Blog, First Post
Hi. Welcome to my Italian Adventure Blog. Not much will happen here until I actually get to Italy in late July. I am going to be going to Italy from June 25 to July 24, 2008. Based in Florence, I will be studying art and art history. I will be going on excursions to Rome, Siena, Venice, and Pisa. So far, I have pretty much everything done to go. I'm currently waiting for my student loan check and passport.
